Did you see the replay? The one where the Jim Joyce blown call ruins Armando Galarraga perfect game? It was harsh. He didn’t pay attention to the base the whole play, so he blew the call.
At least Jim Joyce was man enough to admit it, and apologize to Armando Galarraga for the blown call afterwards in person.
Galarraga was similarly gracious, accepting the apology and the fact that everyone is human, and humans make mistakes, sometimes with disappointing consequences.

It was an excellent lesson for children. An example of sportsmanship at its highest level. We should be glad as a society that even though Jim Joyce Blown Call Ruins Armando Galarraga Perfect Game, grace, dignity, and understanding ruled the day. We wish Armando Galarraga much success in his future career, because while his perfect game was spoiled by the Jim Joyce blown call at first base, his reaction gives comfort to all who wish for a gentler world.
