Father’s Day

Father’s Day is today: that scrap of holiday love thrown the way of fathers everywhere, because people must have felt bad that Dads were left out of the glory of Mother’s Day. Unless you’re a Dad, in which case you know that women rule; that Mother is the word for God on the lips of children everywhere (to paraphrase Crow author J. O’Barr); that Mothers lead and Fathers provide the support role, at least in traditional male-female parenting pairs.

We Dads are smart enough to say all that because it’s true.
