In a micro-cosm of the Gulf of Mexico the 91 Freeway traffic in Corona, CA is being rerouted away from the scene of a six-car accident, including a tanker truck that is on fire, and has been burning much of the day. the more we depend on oil and gas, the more this sort of thing happens.

While there are, amazingly, no reports of serious injury, the freeway is shut down for several miles, traffic is backed-up even further, and even sections of Freeway 71 are closed as well.

No reports yet on what may have caused the accident…

We have updates coming in now. the road is clear, and has been for the last few hours. the wreckage of the several smaller vehicles and one, large tanker truck are being removed. Still no word on any injuries, but no news is good in that particular area.
